Commercial Property Insurance

Commercial Property Insurance is similar to a package-type policy in that many coverage may be combined under one policy however; each policy is usually distinct from another due to the differences in the individual business insured.

The following text is to give a brief overview only. Each risk must be evaluated so as to tailor the policy to that unique business.


Commercial Building and Contents

In the event that any of the property insured is lost or damaged by the
perils insured against, the Insurer will indemnity the Insured against the
direct loss so caused to an amount not exceeding whichever is the least
of:

  • the actual cash value of the property at the time of loss or damage
  • the interest of the Insured in the property
  • the amount of Insurance specified on the "Declaration Page" in respect of the property lost or damaged

Property Insured

  • Building
  • Equipment
  • Stock
  • Contents of every description
  • Property of every description

Liability

The insurer agrees to pay the sums that the Insured becomes obligated to pay as compensatory damages because of "bodily injury" or "property damage" to which this insurance applies.
